New CEO at Stella McCartney
British high-end footwear and ready-to-wear brand Stella McCartney has named London-based Amandine Ohayon chief executive, effective December 1.
Ms Ohayon is an alumna of ESSEC Business School's luxury management MBA programme and most recently helmed wedding dress atelier Pronovias in Barcelona between 2018 and August of this year.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms McCartney told WWD that the senior leader’s “wealth of experience across businesses and geographies will be strong assets”, adding that “her passion for great fashion and ethical values makes her a great partner in our quest to champion a sustainable way to success”.
Parisian luxury group LVMH purchased a stake in Stella McCartney in 2019. It has remained majority owned by its eponymous creative director since she regained full ownership from France's Kering group in 2018.
