Wenzhou posts price increase in leather shoes export to EU
It is reported by Wenzhou Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine that in April the export price for a pair of leather shoes to EU saw a growth of 17.89% to US$ 11.2 over a year earlier, 6.56% higher than previous month. The report said it is first big growth since 2008.
Leather shoes export to EU doesn’t post a huge growth as much as expected in Wenzhou city, it rose 5% in pairs and 24.1% in value.
For the EU buyers the hiking price of 17.89% in April, which is already more than the EU dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes, restrains the increasing demand of EU buyers.
