The National Development Conference for Tanning Machinery 2010 took place in Lijiang Dianyin Hotel, Yunnan province from December 22 to 24, 2010, which was organized by China Leather Industry Association and China Machinery Association for Light Industry.  
More than 40 representatives from the national industry attended the conference, Mr. Su Chaoying, general secretary of China Leather Industry Association and Ms. Wang Dan, vice general secretary of China Machinery Association for Light Industry presided over the meeting. The topic of promoting the industry growth in steady, sustainable and sound way was highlighted and discussed by delegates.

CLIA general secretary Su Chaoying made a speech on the topic of accelerating transformation of the mode of economic development and industrial and technological upgrading, on his speech he introduced the situation of China Leather Industry in the past year, the current policies, and proposed a guideline on Twelfth Five-Years Development Plan for Leather Industry. He said the year of 2010 past, our industry still face many challenges and uncertainty on upcoming year, anyhow we have withstood the hit of financial crises and the industry maintains good momentum.
 

Ms. Wang Dan, vice general secretary of China Machinery Association for Light Industry put forward the machinery committee working plan for 2011 and proposal of Twelfth Five-Years Development Plan for Leather Machinery Industry, when comments on the current situation of market she said the industry met a booming demand that had not been seen for nearly ten years, the economic recovery at home and abroad, environmental restriction and updated technologies are the factors that stimulate the demand on tanning machinery.

More speeches were delivered and discussed on the conference by delegates, and finally consensus was reached on many issues for the industrial development direction and the Industry Twelfth Five-Years Development Plan.
