Shoemaking begins to rise in Shenyang city
The cities of Jinjiang, Wenzhou, Dongguan and Cengdu are regarded as four Chinese shoe production bases for many years, due to limited land resurces and labor shortage some shoemakers on these areas have turned their eyes on the market in northeast of China, Shenyang is the city that attracted a lot of investment from shoemakers and shoe brands in the southern cities.
The shrewd Wenzhou’s businessman started the transformation to Northeast China much early than those in other cities because they had insight into the potential market there, now more and more shoemakers are placing production in Northeast that become a strong force on revitalization of the old northeast industrial base. The transformation trend becomes irreversible and increased.
The pattern on shoe market has taken place dramaticly changes, for years before shoes sold in the northern were transported from Southern of China, now shoes made in northern transport to southern for sales. Buyers in Hangzhou city have transferred their shoe orders from Guangzhou city to ours, said an owner of shoemaker in Shenyang city, saying so far we sell 5 to 6 million pairs of shoes to Southern. Not only so Shenyang has put their eyes on international market, Russia and DPRK will be their initiative targets.
The shoemakers in Shenyang city used to be manufaturers processing according to buyers demand, now 25% of them registered their own brands, the brands of Boyasi, Northern Girl and Funny Lady and so on begin to popular national wide, and begin to gain a foothold in the high-end markets.
It is no doult that shoemaking industry for Shenyang city meets a historic developing opportunity after experiences of the industrial transformation and global ecomonic crises, shemaking is rising here.
