President of Uzbekistan Visits Footwear Manufacturer
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev recently made a visit to the city of Qarshi to see the UzShoes production facilities.
Created in cooperation with investors, UzShoes employs 350 people and produces more than 500,000 pairs of shoes every year. The company produces ten types of leather shoes for men, women and children, which are sold in more than 100 stores across Europe.
Following his previous visit, the head of state reportedly sought to capitalise on the raw materials available in the region, launching four leather projects.
