Premiata Presents John Low, in the Spirit of the Circular Economy
The Italian brand, leader in the fashion segment, presents the second release of the new John Low model, the expression of a new ‘green’ generation of trendy sneakers.
The brand created in 1991 by Graziano Mazza in the Marche region, and leader in the fashion industry at international level, presents the second release of the new John Low model, created in partnership with Sciarada, a historic Italian manufacturing company, which provided its innovative Evolo technology. It is a suede produced in full respect of the environment and the principles of the circular economy, as it is able to cut six out of sixteen steps with respect to standard manufacturing processes. Based on the recovery and regeneration of chamois processing waste, Evolo reduces the water used by about 66% and chemicals by 36%, without adding additional chromium, cutting CO2 emissions by up to 50%. Compared to standard suede, each square metre of material treated with this procedure emits 0.803 kg less CO2, which would be the equivalent contained in 1,600 m 3 of air. The John Low model by Premiata also boasts an upper in LIMONTA regenerated nylon with ECONYL® yarn, produced with pre/post-consumer scraps such as industrial waste, fishing nets and carpets. The bottom of the sneaker is made from natural and recycled materials, with excellent results in terms of comfort, key success factor of the Marche based brand. The second John Low release features classic colours for Men’s models, with shades that range from gray to navy, while tinged with light blue and pink, in addition to the white colour scale for Women’s models.
