Walking on Beer, Sneaker Sole Injected?with Heineken Beer
What's it like pouring beer into your sneakers? This summer, Heineken has teamed up with the shoe customization artist Dominic Ciambrone to launch a limited-edition Heinekicks sneaker. Heineken Silver, the latest beer of Heineken, is poured into the soles of the shoes, to allow users to enjoy the cool experience of "walking on beer". The design creates an "unexpectedly smooth and unique" feeling for users by simulating the silky taste of Heineken Silver.
A highlight of the shoes is that real beer is injected into the soles through a special "surgical injection method". When the weight of the sole is transferred from front to back, it will bring a unique walking experience to the user, and vice versa. Therefore, the design of the sole is both interesting and practical. Meanwhile, to match the iconic color of Heineken Silver, each shoe features a sleek green lenticular upper with silver and red embellishments and has removable metal bottle openers inside the tongues.
Dominic Ciambrone said: "Working with Heineken to produce their beer shoes was an interesting challenge. We both share a passion for innovation and pushing boundaries and have created a design that reflects that. This shoe not only embodies the energy of Heineken Silver, and it carries it.”
This is not the first time that Heineken has released limited edition sneakers. Previously, Heineken and Nike have jointly launched the Nike Dunk Low Pro SB "Heineken" sneakers. The shoe body is mainly in slightly yellowish white, the shoe frame is green and a black Swoosh Logo is embellished.
