Siretessile, News about Technical Fabrics Sire-Tex
The division of Siretessile dedicated to technical fabrics featuring a range of products and membranes under the Sire-Tex brand will be once again at Lineapelle fair, an important hub where the company usually presents significant innovations in the field of materials for footwear.
The first news is dedicated to the Sire-Tex waterproof and breathable membranes which are presented at the fair with a new graphic layout, the same used for the company’s marketing campaigns also on the social media with a dedicated “Sire-Tex” page.
The Sire-Tex membranes have been one of Siretessile’s flagship products for years; completely made in Italy, they are constantly tested and certified in the in-house “Sirelab” laboratory to guarantee the right, ever-improving quality standards.
At the fair it will be possible to know and learn more about the different types of membranes, Optimal, Aquat T, Siretex and Circle, ideal for making all types of footwear from the most technical and performing ones to winter and casual everyday shoes.
Alongside membranes, interest in the environment and recycled materials has led Siretessile with its R&D office to work towards a “green turning point” by seeking more eco-sustainable alternatives to the classic products of its collections.
This research has led to the development of products made with polyester derived from the recycling of PET plastic bottles, boasting the same performance as the items previously used but with a better environmental impact.
Among the recycled products stand out many 3D materials such as Aerpluss, ideal for trekking, technical linings such as Indy, cloths perfect for more wintery footwear.
The importance of the choice of recycled products has led the company to obtain the GRS – Global Recycled Standard certification, the international acknowledgement for those who manufactures clothing and textile products with recycled materials. Among the certified items, a role of primary importance is given by the synthetic furs made of recycled PET fiber and ideal for making warm and comfortable winter footwear. The company is constantly committed to enlarge its range of certified products made with recycled materials.
